It's five in the morning. I've been awake for a few hours, got maybe three hours of sleep last night. I wrote this a couple of nights ago when I couldn't sleep. It helped almost nothing, so that went well. Either way, I cleaned it up and slapped it up here. I'm just doing this before I take a shower, I'll deal with the comms later or whatever. I feel like I had more to say about this, but forgot it all.

Title: To The Grave
Author: [livejournal.com profile] ofvanity
Pairings: Gen
Word Count: 958
Rating: R
Warnings: Extreme gore, PTSD, mentions of: real world situational trauma, child prostitution & trafficking.
Disclaimers: Inception does not belong to me.
Author's Note: This was a fill for this prompt and this prompt, concerning PTSD and a specific action, based very loosely on Hero of War by Rise Against. This is almost a character study.
Summary: Arthur thinks he is dying now, his head is thin and the air is stale.

Title: In Abandon
Author[livejournal.com profile] ofvanity
Pairings: Eames/Yusuf
Word Count: 2800
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: None, really.
Disclaimers: This, children, in no way ever happened. Nolan is beautiful and Inception is his pet that I occasionally walk through a park of wild and fake ideas.
Author's Note: Written for the captivating place that is the Rarepairs Summer Fest and the beautiful [livejournal.com profile] fitz_y who prompted: "pre-film, how eames and yusuf met." I took that and kinda ran with it. Ran with scissors, I believe. And under the influence of things that make you stumble.
Summary: The cold has always made Eames homesick.

Do we ever really meet a person? )

Title: Moonlight Serenade
Pairings: Ariadne/Cobb
Word Count: 1500~
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: None.
Disclaimers: I claim no ownership of the bountiful Inception kingdom nor of it's beautiful rulers, (i.e., King Nolan, Prince Arthur, etc, etc.). I am merely a peasant. Title goes to the forever brilliant, Glenn Miller.
Author's Note: Written for this prompt: She walks in on him playing the piano in the middle of the night. With a cigarette in his mouth. After he's finished, he fucks her over the piano."
I wasn't originally going to do this, I was on a serious Arthur/Cobb kink at the time and saw this and thought, well, shit. But, uh, I realized that  it was kind of douchey of me to neglect the OP's original pairing and gave in when I realized I've never actually written heterosexual sex before and was roused by the challenge. I sifted through a bunch of Ariadne/Cobb fic for this, trying to get a feel for their dynamic because in the movie I only get a Father/Daughter vibe. Hence, if the characterization is off or wonky, I apologize to all Ariadne/Cobb shippers/readers in advance. Also, this is unbeta'ed, so any mistakes are no one's fault but mine.  <3
mmary: Cobb fucks Ariadne over a piano.

I doubt this is what Glenn Miller had in mind when he wrote Moonlight Serenade. )

The third of which is a prompt fill. C: /generosity.

Title: The Black Rattle
Author[livejournal.com profile] ofvanity
Pairings: Cobb/Saito, Arthur/Eames if you squint. C:
Word Count: 2400
Rating: PG-13 to Light R
Warnings: Mentions of violence and gore.
Disclaimers: I claim no ownership of the bountiful Inception kingdom nor of it's beautiful rulers, (i.e., King Nolan, Prince Arthur, etc, etc.). I am merely a peasant.
Author's Note: This is a prompt fill for this prompt: "Post-inception, Cobb is finding it increasingly hard to stay out of the extraction business the way he knows he should. When the compulsion gets to be too much, he contacts Saito and asks him for help. Saito takes him and his children into his own care, and sets about finding Cobb creative outlets in the real world that help ground him.

This means spending a lot of time together, and they fall in love."

I realized I strayed from the conventional but I rather like how it turned out so perhaps I shall be forgiven? (:
Summary: Saito teaches Cobb to reconnect with the world.

This is real. )
